In Southern Utah, there is a quiet, little known canyon called Black Creek. The water that flows through Black Creek ends up in Zion Narrows through Zion National Park. It is Black Creek that represents a place of transformation, and it is the water that runs through Black Creek that provides its form, created over millions of years.
Why Black Creek International?
There is power in symbol. The Chinese character for water is 水 and among its oldest image is captured in the ancient Chinese text known as the I Ching. The Water trigram (☵) is one of the most philosophically rich symbols. When combined together, it has a double meaning that pivots around both obstacle and opportunity. It is often associated with trials, danger, or challenges but also with depth, adaptability, and perseverance.
Inner Strength / Willpower: The yang line inside symbolizes hidden strength—a spark of perseverance within adversity. So, this hexagram also represents the power to endure and flow around challenges, much like water.
Thus, this symbol implies "to face danger but continue flowing"—to move like water through life’s lowest points.
